Juliet MacDonald

We last had plants back in PSL as part of our exhibition 'Town & Country' when we had a vegetable garden in the gallery. This time it's decorative plants in the shed! Towards the end of the day when the light was fading the shed had a wonderful glow coming from the grow light inside it, with the green and red of the foliage looking great against the black of the shed.

Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.

What I really like about Juliet's drawing is the fantastic variety of marks she gets out of chalk - smudgy bits, feint tentative lines and then some very definite, deliberate lines, all adding to the sense of depth of her images.
